STANDARD VS. OXFORD PILLOWCASE

klasicne-oksford-jastucnice

Both types of pillowcases have the same internal dimensions, and the only difference lies in the edges. Classic pillowcases have straight edges, while Oxford pillowcases have an additional piece of fabric that creates an extra border. This wide border, or border, is usually 5-10 cm in size and gives the impression that the pillow is larger than it actually is.

Classic pillowcases exude purity, beauty, and simplicity with their understated appearance and look great in all colors and fabrics. They are also known as housewife pillowcases, named in the nineteenth century after the cooperative efforts of inventive housewives from Bolton. They improved the appearance of the pillowcases of the time, which were tubular in shape, by adding a flap to hold the pillowcase in place.

Oxford pillowcases  blend beautifully with larger beds, filling their wide space where sometimes classic pillows look small. They exude elegance and bring sophistication and timeless luxury to the bedroom. They are named after the so-called Oxford fabric, a very resistant and durable material from which they were made at the time.

Both pillowcases are equally comfortable; the only difference is in their appearance. For a more casual look, we recommend Zorya classic pillowcases, while for a smooth or hotel-like bedroom look, we recommend Oxford or a combination of these two types of pillowcases.
