EGYPTIAN COTTON

EGIPATSKI PAMUK

WHAT IS EGYPTIAN COTTON Egyptian cotton is a plant exclusively cultivated in Egypt in the delta of the Nile River, where a combination of fertile soil and a unique climate creates perfect conditions for the Gossypium Barbadense variety to grow slowly and produce exceptionally fine and long fibers.

WHY IS IT SO SPECIALMaterials made from Egyptian cotton are crafted from extremely fine and long fibers of the plant, making it exceptionally soft, with a delicate finish and durable. To preserve the quality of the fibers, Egyptian cotton is hand-picked rather than harvested by machines.

HOW IS EGYPTIAN COTTON DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR COTTONSofter, more durable, smoother and silkier surface, better moisture absorption, longer-lasting, more comfortable, doesn't pill, more breathable.

IS EVERY EGYPTIAN COTTON OF PREMIUM QUALITY No. Just because it is grown in Egypt does not mean it is of premium quality.

WHYIt depends on the type of weaving; some yarns are faster and cheaper to produce. It also depends on the length of the fibers. Quality Egyptian cotton is combed before weaving. This removes shorter and coarser fibers, resulting in luxurious and smooth fabric.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH IS OF HIGH QUALITY Look to see if the material is woven from long staple or extra-long staple fibers. The longer the fibers, the higher the quality.

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF EGYPTIAN COTTONLong staple fibers: Giza 86, Giza 89, and Giza 90. Extra-long staple fibers: Giza 45, Giza 70, Giza 87, Giza 88, Giza 92.

FROM WHICH EGYPTIAN COTTON ARE ZORYA BEDDINGS AND OTHER FABRICS MADEGiza 92.

WHY INVEST IN QUALITY BEDDING You nurture yourself, your sleep, your skin, vitality, quality of life. You nurture the planet with your choices: the higher the quality of the product, the less need for replacement, and therefore less waste.
